Geert-Jan Coomans hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The Lions United fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Lions United's Pan Jian Yong looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Dynamo Marx's zone, Niels Vandamme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thys Geraerts came out of the goal and Niels Vandamme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Dynamo Marx defense, Pan Jian Yong kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thys Geraerts. The Dynamo Marx fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thys Geraerts should have stopped the shot. Thys Geraerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pan Jian Yong in the 27th minute of the match. Thys Geraerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pan Jian Yong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute Lions United were awarded a corner. Gao Cheng Yun went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Gao Cheng Yun almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Dynamo Marx's Thys Geraerts did a great save. 34 minutes in the game Tommas Verhaghe did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Carel Huysmans. In the 34th minute, Pan Jian Yong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lions United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Thys Geraerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pan Jian Yong, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pan Jian Yong in the 45th minute of play forced Dynamo Marx's goalkeeper Thys Geraerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steve De Wilde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boris Musseeuw in the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Pan Jian Yong ran back to his position shaking his head. After 66th play minutes Pan Jian Yong shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Thys Geraerts and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 68 minutes, Geert-Jan Coomans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lions United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geert-Jan Coomans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thys Geraerts was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Pan Jian Yong capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pan Jian Yong really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. If Pan Jian Yong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 73 minutes into the match, Dynamo Marx's goal looked a bit too open when Pan Jian Yong came free, but Thys Geraerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Dynamo Marx getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Tommas Verhaghe hit a great ball. Thys Geraerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pan Jian Yong, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Dynamo Marx's goal looked a bit too open when Pan Jian Yong came free, but Thys Geraerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
