In the 3rd minute Mattias Qvalfeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timmy Standaerts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. North Side's Mathieu-Maxim Neys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantijn Kingsgaard in the 12th minute of play. Mathieu-Maxim Neys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geert-Jan Geraerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Bruno Van Huele kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantijn Kingsgaard in the 22nd minute of play forced North Side's goalkeeper Mathieu-Maxim Neys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, North Side's Sander De Messemaeckre got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After having played for 24 minutes, Geert-Jan Geraerts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Achterheide's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geert-Jan Geraerts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mattias Qvalfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Edgard Godefroid reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mathieu-Maxim Neys. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 35th minute, Renaud Van Linthaut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Andrez Isebergh got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When FC Achterheide's Constantijn Kingsgaard, in the 39th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for FC Achterheide. Mathieu-Maxim Neys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geert-Jan Geraerts in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geert-Jan Geraerts in the 46th minute of play forced North Side's goalkeeper Mathieu-Maxim Neys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgard Godefroid to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Godefroid in the 53rd minute of play forced North Side's goalkeeper Mathieu-Maxim Neys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Constantijn Kingsgaard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mathieu-Maxim Neys. North Side's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Constantijn Kingsgaard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 63rd minute, Edgard Godefroid made a precise shot to the right of Mathieu-Maxim Neys. North Side's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vince Enfant during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Henrik Snoekens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th match minute, FC Achterheide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renaud Van Linthaut to maneuver through the defense. Mathieu-Maxim Neys took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Godefroid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute FC Achterheide were awarded a corner. Geert-Jan Geraerts went to the cornerflag to take it. FC Achterheide's Geert-Jan Geraerts was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mathieu-Maxim Neys in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mathieu-Maxim Neys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantijn Kingsgaard in the 95th minute of the match. FC Achterheide's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
