Dynamo Marx's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Richy Valkeneers ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Rudi Cools almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Dynamo Marx's Thys Geraerts did a great save. 39 minutes into the match, Dynamo Marx's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Odin came free, but Thys Geraerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Dynamo Marx's Thys Geraerts got control of the ball when Marcus Odin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Boris Musseeuw ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciro Lira was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-7. 76 minutes into the match, Dynamo Marx's goal looked a bit too open when Jesse Petermans came free, but Thys Geraerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dynamo Marx's Thys Geraerts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Dynamo Marx from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Decathlon Anderlecht's Gregoire Humblets slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thys Geraerts. That made the score 2-9 after 84 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Odin in the 87th minute of play forced Dynamo Marx's goalkeeper Thys Geraerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thys Geraerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Odin, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Decathlon Anderlecht's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
