FC Achterheide's Timmy Standaerts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save FC Achterheide from getting a goal against them. Thys Geraerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Godefroid in the 9th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Edgard Godefroid had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thys Geraerts. Dynamo Marx's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard Godefroid was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 23 minutes in the game, Boris Musseeuw dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Thys Geraerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geert-Jan Geraerts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dynamo Marx's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonas Örnberg was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Achterheide's players had a chance to rest. FC Achterheide's Constantijn Kingsgaard was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thys Geraerts in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Godefroid in the 43rd minute of play forced Dynamo Marx's goalkeeper Thys Geraerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thys Geraerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geert-Jan Geraerts in the 44th minute of the match. The Dynamo Marx players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Achterheide were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Boris Musseeuw made the kick off in the second half. Dynamo Marx's Thys Geraerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantijn Kingsgaard in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute Constantijn Kingsgaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thys Geraerts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Dynamo Marx's goal looked a bit too open when Geert-Jan Geraerts came free, but Thys Geraerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, FC Achterheide's Geert-Jan Geraerts dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. With a little luck, Dynamo Marx's Thys Geraerts got control of the ball when Edgard Godefroid tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thys Geraerts didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 80th minute, which inside left pole to 0-6. FC Achterheide made a substitution. Gregoire Candries replaced Leon Clement. In the 84th minute, Edgard Godefroid ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thys Geraerts was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Thys Geraerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantijn Kingsgaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Dynamo Marx getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Jesse Van Adorp hit a great ball. Thys Geraerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geert-Jan Geraerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Ben van Haecht dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thys Geraerts, 0-9. FC Achterheide played a much better game than Dynamo Marx and deserved their victory. The Dynamo Marx players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
