A nice corner shot did that Ron Aelgoet got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bart-Jan Van De Beeck quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thibau Robin's late challenge caught a Invictus FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thibau Robin helped the player get up and apologised. 25 minutes into the game, Filip den Ronden threw the ball into play from the sideline. Invictus FC's Octaaf Van der Meiren quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Invictus FC's Sean Mallecots got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Invictus FC's Eddy Stoorms proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Invictus FC from getting a goal against them. Eddy Stoorms took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantijn Ruelens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bart-Jan Van De Beeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sean Mallecots, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute Julius Damman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddy Stoorms saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thibau Robin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Eddy Stoorms made a huge save. 44 minutes into the match, Invictus FC's goalkeeper Eddy Stoorms had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thibau Robin. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Invictus FC's Eddy Stoorms played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thibau Robin in the 67th minute of play. Royal Antwerp FC's Constantijn Ruelens pulled a muscle in his back after 67 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 68 minutes, Marnix De Vorster mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Invictus FC and the Royal Antwerp FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Royal Antwerp FC booed when Invictus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marnix De Vorster didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sean Mallecots blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bart-Jan Van De Beeck having to make a save. Eddy Stoorms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiaan Tkint in the 87th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Sean Mallecots ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bart-Jan Van De Beeck was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. After 97 minutes of play, Invictus FC's Sean Mallecots made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bart-Jan Van De Beeck was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Invictus FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
