Spectators: 8243 (Terracing: 6137, Seating: 1944, VIP seats: 162) Mickael Spoelberghe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trevor Eubank, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. 6 minutes into the game, Bogumil Czapski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mickael Spoelberghe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of SK Mons booed when Dark Energy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prospero Venceslas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bogumil Czapski came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the SK Mons fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bogumil Czapski couldn't finish the play. Mickael Spoelberghe came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by SK Mons's Trevor Eubank. But to his dismay, Trevor Eubank quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Steven Puttemans in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mickael Spoelberghe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SK Mons's Jerom Smoors played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá de Barros in the 23rd minute of play. Jerom Smoors stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cacá de Barros's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. A collision led to SK Mons getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Julien Pulix hit a great ball. Cacá de Barros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Jerom Smoors when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 41 played minutes Dark Energy got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Van Der Meeren. After a defensive mix-up in Dark Energy's zone, Trevor Eubank stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mickael Spoelberghe came out of the goal and Trevor Eubank tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cacá de Barros made a kick off. Mickael Spoelberghe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kong Sen Chen went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Mickael Spoelberghe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Steven Puttemans went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. SK Mons made a substitution. Mattias Theijs replaced Bogumil Czapski. Dark Energy's Robbrecht Van Boxstael quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Julien Pulix, made in the 62nd minute of the game. 67 minutes into the match, Mattias Theijs dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mickael Spoelberghe, 1-5. Trevor Eubank's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Mickael Spoelberghe skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Abdelhamid Hasni kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Dark Energy's Vic Poels was substituted for Dominic Van hoegaerde. Dark Energy made a substitution. David Vergau replaced Robbrecht Van Boxstael. Viktor Van Achten hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Julien Pulix made in the 80th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Dark Energy's Aaron Van Herck. 81 minutes into the match, SK Mons's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Van Herck came free, but Jerom Smoors reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Dark Energy getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Abdelhamid Hasni hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, SK Mons's Julien Pulix tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Dark Energy's Cacá de Barros in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SK Mons's goalie prevented a goal. Julien Pulix hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The SK Mons supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SK Mons would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
