Ilídio Malafaia was a little too slow when Matt Marsland got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, Lichten's goal looked a bit too open when Matt Marsland came free, but Ilídio Malafaia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute of the match, Matt Marsland tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ilídio Malafaia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Matt Marsland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ilídio Malafaia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt Marsland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Lichten booed when Torpedo Lier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christopher Aelgoet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilídio Malafaia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matt Marsland in the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Torpedo Lier's Matt Marsland dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. After 38 minutes of play, Torpedo Lier's Matt Marsland made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilídio Malafaia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Matt Marsland in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ilídio Malafaia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Matt Marsland made the kick off in the second half. Matt Marsland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Matt Marsland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilídio Malafaia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Torpedo Lier's Remie Kint proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Torpedo Lier from getting a goal against them. Lichten's Ilídio Malafaia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matt Marsland in the 61st minute of play. Ilídio Malafaia came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Torpedo Lier's Matt Marsland. But to his dismay, Matt Marsland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Matt Marsland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ilídio Malafaia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matt Marsland in the 67th minute of the match. If Matt Marsland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ilídio Malafaia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matt Marsland in the 68th minute of play. Ilídio Malafaia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matt Marsland's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. After 72 minutes, Matt Marsland made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Lichten's Ilídio Malafaia tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ilídio Malafaia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matt Marsland, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Matt Marsland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilídio Malafaia having to make a save. If Aureliusz Bienienda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matt Marsland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lichten's Ilídio Malafaia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matt Marsland in the 93rd minute of play. Aureliusz Bienienda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Remie Kint tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lichten's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
