Ronaldinho Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronny Balthazar in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Szymon Fronczak dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Goethals, 1-0. With a little luck, Temsbroek's Jonathan Goethals got control of the ball when Wesly Vanneste tried to sneak it across the goal line. Szymon Fronczak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldinho Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar De Vorster in the 25th minute of play. Cesar De Vorster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ronaldinho Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lieven Van den Enden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesar De Vorster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ronaldinho Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesar De Vorster's late challenge caught a KFC Hamont-Achel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cesar De Vorster helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Temsbroek's Cesar De Vorster got a free kick in the 40th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wesly Vanneste got free with Jonathan Goethals in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronny Balthazar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56thth minute of the game Wesly Vanneste who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Temsbroek's Jonathan Goethals was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Ronny Balthazar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Temsbroek's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronny Balthazar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldinho Taffarel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Goethals took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Szymon Fronczak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Ronaldinho Taffarel managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Temsbroek's Ronny Balthazar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronny Balthazar got free with Ronaldinho Taffarel in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Szymon Fronczak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Jonathan Goethals tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronny Balthazar in the 76th minute of play forced KFC Hamont-Achel's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KFC Hamont-Achel's Ronaldinho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar De Vorster in the 79th minute of play. If Szymon Fronczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute Cesar De Vorster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldinho Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Goethals showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wesly Vanneste, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Temsbroek's goalkeeper Jonathan Goethals, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Szymon Fronczak in the 96th minute of play forced Temsbroek's goalkeeper Jonathan Goethals to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KFC Hamont-Achel's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
