North Hill United's Jeremie Reijniers got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 4 played minutes North Hill United got a freekick which was hit by Freek De Meyer. North Hill United's Joos Teurfs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save North Hill United from getting a goal against them. Kristen Spoelberghe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Joos Teurfs made a huge save. In the 15th minute, Jose Van Eyken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by KFC Welden's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kęstutis Survila was slow to take the kick. During this time North Hill United's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Dre Toeback almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but KFC Welden's Gillis Degens did a great save. 21 minutes into the game, Steff Berckmans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gillis Degens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joos Teurfs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Van Eyken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jeremie Reijniers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gillis Degens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremie Reijniers in the 26th minute of play. When Jeremie Reijniers came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the North Hill United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremie Reijniers couldn't finish the play. A collision led to KFC Welden getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Jose Van Eyken hit a great ball. Jeremie Reijniers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The KFC Welden players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. North Hill United were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeremie Reijniers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Welden's zone, Jeremie Reijniers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gillis Degens came out of the goal and Jeremie Reijniers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes into the game, KFC Welden's Wouter Gijselinckx nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joos Teurfs made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After 59 played minutes KFC Welden got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Simon Musseeuw. When North Hill United's Jeremie Reijniers in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KFC Welden's goalie prevented a goal. North Hill United made a substitution. Nils De Geutter replaced Tiberiu Florescu. North Hill United's Jim Roussel was substituted for Tommi Van Der Meren. In the 66th minute Wouter Gijselinckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joos Teurfs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Jeremie Reijniers fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gillis Degens, passed just outside the right post. Gillis Degens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremie Reijniers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Welden's goalkeeper Gillis Degens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th match minute, North Hill United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dre Toeback to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Jeremie Reijniers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The North Hill United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Gillis Degens made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Carel Impens sent off a good shot on target. The North Hill United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing North Hill United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
