Tony Vandenberge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Octavian Rutgeerts had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tony Vandenberge. RWDM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Octavian Rutgeerts was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Pezerik's Shota Stopa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennert Van der Vloedt in the 52nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geoffry Lefevre got free with Tony Vandenberge in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
