In the 7th minute, Crocs Sarajevo's Sudo Jelić ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Radomir Našidović. Radomir Našidović yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 10th minute Vlado Buljubašić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tifo Marinović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Crocs Sarajevo's Tifo Marinović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boriša Lihovac in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sudo Jelić in the 19th minute of play forced Dzerici's goalkeeper Radomir Našidović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radomir Našidović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sudo Jelić, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. With his leg Radomir Našidović managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Crocs Sarajevo's Aco Kemura fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Crocs Sarajevo's Tifo Marinović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boriša Lihovac in the 25th minute of play. Tifo Marinović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Agibović in the 27th minute of play. Stefan Agibović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Tifo Marinović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 played minutes Crocs Sarajevo got a freekick which was hit by Miralem Radić. Tifo Marinović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Agibović, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Boriša Lihovac notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Crocs Sarajevo's Tifo Marinović. Tifo Marinović was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Aco Kemura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crocs Sarajevo's supporters rose to their feet, but Aco Kemura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Crocs Sarajevo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dzerici the free kick. After a rather tough play, Crocs Sarajevo's Aco Kemura got a free kick in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of Dzerici booed when Crocs Sarajevo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aco Kemura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Crocs Sarajevo's Tifo Marinović proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Crocs Sarajevo from getting a goal against them. In the 97th minute, Cine Ganibović reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tifo Marinović. The goal made the score 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Dzerici eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
