Dida Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Krstanović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, NK RIJEKA 1983's goal looked a bit too open when Hajdar Tofkić came free, but Dida Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Hajdar Tofkić sped through NK RIJEKA 1983's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dida Pontes. After having played for 25 minutes, Tony Krstanović managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dida Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oma Smajlić in the 28th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Mehmed Hasić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ismael Cebrian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Menendo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Ismael Cebrian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuh Maksimović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. NK RIJEKA 1983's Dida Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Krstanović in the 41st minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hajdar Tofkić made a kick off. After a rather tough play, NK RIJEKA 1983's Nuh Maksimović got a free kick in the 50th minute. After 72 played minutes FC Smotančeri got a freekick which was hit by Hajdar Tofkić. Ismael Cebrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmiro Menendo in the 73rd minute of the match. Hajdar Tofkić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st match minute, NK RIJEKA 1983 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmed Hasić to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Restu kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, NK RIJEKA 1983's Eric Runberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ismael Cebrian narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
