Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Günter Nießen ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 41 minutes, Günter Nießen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Griechenberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Günter Nießen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Daniel Czaika had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruben Eggenfeld took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Günter Nießen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Günter Nießen made a kick off. After some careless play in the DSG Union Großraming defense, Kilian Kirchberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruben Eggenfeld. The DSG Union Großraming fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruben Eggenfeld should have stopped the shot. If Kilian Kirchberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruben Eggenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Günter Nießen in the 57th minute of play. The Griechenberg fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Griechenberg's Günter Nießen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in DSG Union Großraming's zone, Patrick Appel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruben Eggenfeld came out of the goal and Patrick Appel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th minute Günter Nießen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Eggenfeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Günter Nießen in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruben Eggenfeld prevented the ball from getting in the gole. DSG Union Großraming's Ruben Eggenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kilian Kirchberg in the 69th minute of play. Günter Nießen struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Ruben Eggenfeld didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Griechenberg. When Daniel Czaika came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Griechenberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Czaika couldn't finish the play. In the 81st minute, Günter Nießen made a precise shot to the right of Ruben Eggenfeld. DSG Union Großraming's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Griechenberg's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
