In the 21st minute, Martin Schaf left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Feyenoord Rotterdam fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Steffen Jäckel took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Meikel Neustadt. Dustin Zugowski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gerrit Zukrigl. Mauerkirchen FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gerrit Zukrigl made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Kay Morek sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Mauerkirchen FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Hans-Peter Wisgalla made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Julius Waschke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Feyenoord Rotterdam and the Mauerkirchen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes Feyenoord Rotterdam got a freekick which was hit by Julius Waschke. Feyenoord Rotterdam's Kay Morek got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chants of Mauerkirchen FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Feyenoord Rotterdam had held the ball for most of the match.
