Stefan Schellander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Witt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ralf Gröner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Stefan Schellander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jan-Benedikt Grasser came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Tophiis FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Benedikt Grasser couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Weixelberg booed when Tophiis FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jannick Kirchmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tom Schweers in the 18th minute of play forced Weixelberg's goalkeeper Artur Heintges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim Witt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ralf Gröner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Schellander having to interfere. Artur Heintges stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tom Schweers's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Tom Schweers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Artur Heintges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tom Schweers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Jan-Benedikt Grasser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Weixelberg's goalkeeper Artur Heintges had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan-Benedikt Grasser. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tom Schweers to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Tom Schweers notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Weixelberg's Artur Heintges. Artur Heintges was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Jan-Benedikt Grasser managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tophiis FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Benedikt Grasser was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Heintges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tim Witt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Heintges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Schweers, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Phillip Metzger was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Artur Heintges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Benedikt Grasser in the 72nd minute of the match. Weixelberg's Artur Heintges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Benedikt Grasser in the 73rd minute of play. Stefan Schellander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tim Witt in the 77th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Weixelberg's goal looked a bit too open when Jannick Kirchmer came free, but Artur Heintges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Ralf Gröner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tim Witt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 93 played minutes Tophiis FC got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Benedikt Grasser. Tophiis FC's Stefan Schellander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Tophiis FC from getting a goal against them.
