Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jörg Tetzloff kicked off to start the match. Tommy Metzler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Meikel Ganther tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Thalbach's goal looked a bit too open when Roland-Nicolas Reichel came free, but Meikel Ganther reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 9 in the game by Tommy Metzler from a close distance when the talented Meikel Ganther managed to make a qualified save. Thalbach's players were relieved. Meikel Ganther made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Tommy Metzler sent off a good shot on target. Thalbach's Jörg Tetzloff got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th minute Roland-Nicolas Reichel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meikel Ganther saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Roland-Nicolas Reichel came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Nadelburg FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roland-Nicolas Reichel couldn't finish the play. Frank-Dieter Sauer hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tommy Metzler got free with Meikel Ganther in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felix Biskup sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Nadelburg FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Biskup came free, but Sven Nielsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Biskup fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Nielsen having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Thalbach's zone, Tommy Metzler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Meikel Ganther came out of the goal and Tommy Metzler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sven Nielsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörg Tetzloff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nadelburg FSV's Sven Nielsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörg Tetzloff in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Thalbach's Felix Biskup sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven Nielsen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Roland-Nicolas Reichel made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Nadelburg FSV's Dennis Bremer got a free kick in the 54th minute. Sven Nielsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörg Tetzloff in the 58th minute of the match. Sven Nielsen stood somewhat misplaced when Felix Biskup came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 62 minute. Tommy Metzler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Meikel Ganther tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Nadelburg FSV's Philipp Nülle got a free kick in the 69th minute. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Felix Biskup got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thalbach's Meikel Ganther played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Metzler in the 74th minute of play. After some careless play in the Thalbach defense, Roland-Nicolas Reichel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Meikel Ganther. The Thalbach fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Meikel Ganther should have stopped the shot. Tommy Metzler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Meikel Ganther tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 played minutes Thalbach got a freekick which was hit by Frank-Dieter Sauer. Thalbach's Meikel Ganther played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Metzler in the 83rd minute of play. If Jörg Tetzloff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tommy Metzler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland-Nicolas Reichel in the 95th minute of play forced Thalbach's goalkeeper Meikel Ganther to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
