After 6 played minutes, SC Nitscha's Lothar Garbe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Karsten Eggenfeld came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Nitscha reached it. SC Nitscha's Manuel Marschall got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th match minute, Prossegg FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kai Rockstein to maneuver through the defense. Uwe Grübe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karsten Eggenfeld having to interfere. Peter Schreyer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Michael-Peter Koalik made a huge save. Niels Lehmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Niels Lehmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Schreyers short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Michael-Peter Koalik to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Frederik Domann kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Uwe Grübe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Karsten Eggenfeld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael-Peter Koalik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niels Lehmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 47 played minutes SC Nitscha got a freekick which was hit by Leo Labsch. Prossegg FC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 49th minute of the game, when Marko Reiter after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of SC Nitscha's goal. Marko Reiter was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Marschall to make the kick off. Peter Schreyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Michael-Peter Koalik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Niels Lehmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michael-Peter Koalik was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. After 80 minutes, Torsten Orth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Nitscha and the Prossegg FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Prossegg FC booed when SC Nitscha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torsten Orth didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Prossegg FC's Marko Reiter broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Peter Schreyer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michael-Peter Koalik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. If Peter Schreyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
