Nino Kalweit helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Prossegg FC booed when FC Blümelhub was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nino Kalweit didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Blümelhub's Marc-André Arendt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niels Lehmann in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Prossegg FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marvin Seiler to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to FC Blümelhub getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Björn-Torben Hendrick hit a great ball. With a little luck, FC Blümelhub's Marc-André Arendt got control of the ball when Peter Schreyer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rene Liebezeit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karsten Eggenfeld having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Niels Lehmann kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marc-André Arendt. That made the score 1-1 in the 42 minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rene Liebezeit made a kick off. FC Blümelhub's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nino Kalweit in the 52nd minute. FC Blümelhub's Nino Kalweit was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Karsten Eggenfeld in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. FC Blümelhub were furious when Benjamin Bankewitz was red carded, 60 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 61 played minutes FC Blümelhub got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Bankewitz. Marc-André Arendt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marko Reiter in the 62nd minute of play. Marc-André Arendt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niels Lehmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Benjamin Partsch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute Peter Schreyer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc-André Arendt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 minutes, Andre Kühbauer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Blümelhub and the Prossegg FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute, Rene Liebezeit got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
