Maxi Peternell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Thomas Obergfell when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Uygar Amokachi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Manchester united booed when CF Korneuburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenz Delb didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Sílvio Luiz Braga threw the ball into play from the sideline. CF Korneuburg's Enrico Divis quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester united's zone, Stefan Sinn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Obergfell came out of the goal and Stefan Sinn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maxi Peternell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Thomas Obergfell made a huge save. Vanyo Uzunski hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Maxi Peternell made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 50 minutes, Neno Burmov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester united's supporters crossed their fingers, but Neno Burmov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peter Karrer kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, CF Korneuburg's goalkeeper Timo Austerer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uygar Amokachi. In the 57th minute, Neno Burmov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thomas Obergfell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxi Peternell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CF Korneuburg's Aaron Moschel got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CF Korneuburg's Timo Austerer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neno Burmov in the 79th minute of play. If Aaron Moschel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CF Korneuburg were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
