The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Mechanical Animals's Johann Hassel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Douglas Quadros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Benjamin Schmelter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Douglas Quadros made a huge save. In the 6th minute, Jan-Nicolas Fürderer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Douglas Quadros. The goal made the score 2-0. If Johann Hassel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Mechanical Animals's Douglas Quadros threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Johann Hassel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mario Zachariassen made a great header on Mechanical Animals's corner, it was just that Stuhlfelden's Douglas Quadros managed to reach the ball for a save. With his leg Douglas Quadros managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Mechanical Animals's Mario Zachariassen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Stuhlfelden's Douglas Quadros got control of the ball when Benjamin Schmelter tried to sneak it across the goal line. 18 minutes in the game, Benjamin Schmelter dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Johann Hassel struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Douglas Quadros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mechanical Animals. In the 27th minute, Johann Hassel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Douglas Quadros was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Stuhlfelden's zone, Björn-Torben Mai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas Quadros came out of the goal and Björn-Torben Mai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the game, Mechanical Animals's Benjamin Schmelter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Douglas Quadros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Manuel Luft charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Luft the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mechanical Animals booed when Stuhlfelden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Luft didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute David Schmitter managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. When David Schmitter fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mechanical Animals's protests and gave David Schmitter a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Stuhlfelden booed when Mechanical Animals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Schmitter didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Benjamin Schmelter notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Stuhlfelden's Douglas Quadros. Douglas Quadros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. David Schmitter might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Douglas Quadros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Schmitter ran back to his position shaking his head. Stuhlfelden's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Johann Hassel scored to the left of an out of position Douglas Quadros, making the score, 7-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benjamin Krebs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Schmelter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Douglas Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute David Schmitter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klaus-Marco Pierron in the 74th minute of play forced Mechanical Animals's goalkeeper Marian Oelke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Jan-Nicolas Fürderer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Stuhlfelden's goal looked a bit too open when Hubert Sieberichs came free, but Douglas Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Marko Reiss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
