When Marko Odemer fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SK Gala 1905's protests and gave Marko Odemer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Marko Odemer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Daniel Hagedorn sped through SK Gala 1905's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Falko Ondraczek. Olaf Kunze's late challenge caught a Rapid Wien's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olaf Kunze helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rapid Wien booed when SK Gala 1905 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olaf Kunze didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Daniel Hagedorn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Falko Ondraczek. SK Gala 1905's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Hagedorn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After some careless play in the SK Gala 1905 defense, Daniel Hagedorn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Falko Ondraczek. The SK Gala 1905 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Falko Ondraczek should have stopped the shot. Falko Ondraczek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Hagedorn went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. 25 minutes into the match, Rapid Wien's Robin Dommröse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Falko Ondraczek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Robin Dommröse scored 0-7 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Falko Ondraczek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alf Tempel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justus Luchtenberg in the 32nd minute. Falko Ondraczek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Hagedorn, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 37 minutes of play, Rapid Wien's Robin Dommröse made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Falko Ondraczek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Hagedorn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Daniel Hagedorn in the 46th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-10.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Hagedorn to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to SK Gala 1905 getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Severin Ozabiner hit a great ball. In the 51st minute, Daniel Hagedorn made a precise shot to the right of Falko Ondraczek. SK Gala 1905's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-11. In the 55th minute, Rapid Wien's Daniel Hagedorn ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Falko Ondraczek. Falko Ondraczek yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-12. In the 61st minute of the match Rapid Wien got a corner. SK Gala 1905's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mirco Kähler ran over to the corner to take the kick. Markus Faber tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Falko Ondraczek. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-13 in the 61st minute. Rapid Wien's Robin Dommröse got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rapid Wien made a substitution. Lars Reicher replaced Andreas Olejarz. 68 minutes into the match, SK Gala 1905's goalkeeper Falko Ondraczek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Hagedorn. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Hagedorn in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Falko Ondraczek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 70th minute of the match, Daniel Hagedorn got a very nice opportunity to score, but Falko Ondraczek was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norman Fischer during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Daniel Hagedorn struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Falko Ondraczek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rapid Wien. If Daniel Hagedorn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Hagedorns short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Falko Ondraczek to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 80th minute of the match Norman Fischer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alf Tempel skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Rapid Wien booed when SK Gala 1905 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Weisbrod didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 85 minutes of play, Rapid Wien's Daniel Hagedorn made it 0-14 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Falko Ondraczek was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 89th minute of the match, Daniel Hagedorn got a very nice opportunity to score, but Falko Ondraczek was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Norman Fischer got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 92 minutes into the match, SK Gala 1905's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Hagedorn came free, but Falko Ondraczek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Hagedorn succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-15 in the 93rd playminute. When the final whistle sounded Rapid Wien left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SK Gala 1905.
