With his leg Hélio Matta managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Desert Fury's Afonso Amado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 29th minute Desert Fury were awarded a corner. Nuno Ramos went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Desert Fury's Nuno Ramos to fire away a dangerous shot which Hélio Matta despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Afonso Amado struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Hélio Matta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Desert Fury. Ailton Duarte hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. When %teams%'s Afonso Amado was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 2-0 just inside the left pole, 34 minutes into the game. Hélio Matta was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Afonso Amado sped through Wymondham City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hélio Matta. Nuno Dikaté showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Maurito in the 40th minute of the match. Hélio Matta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Amado in the 42nd minute. If Hector Maurito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afonso Amado to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Ailton Flores quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. In the 62ndth minute of the game Afonso Amado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wymondham City's Hélio Matta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Afonso Amado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hélio Matta was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Amado in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hélio Matta saved Wymondham City from getting behind. Nuno Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Afonso Amado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hélio Matta was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After 75 minutes, Zé Dos Santos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wymondham City and the Desert Fury players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Wymondham City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Desert Fury:s goal. In the 76th minute there was a penalty for Desert Fury. Nuno Ramos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hélio Matta. 7-0. After 83 minutes, Ailton Duarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wymondham City and the Desert Fury players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Desert Fury booed when Wymondham City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ailton Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélio Matta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Caneças in the 88th minute of the match. After 88 played minutes Wymondham City got a freekick which was hit by Ivó Pepetela. Nuno Ramos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hélio Matta. 8-0. 98 minutes into the match, Wymondham City's goal looked a bit too open when Ailton Flores came free, but Hélio Matta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nuno Dikaté made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hector Maurito in the 99th minute. Desert Fury walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
