Gregório Dikaté made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Fernandes Braga in the 14th minute of play. Gregório Dikaté was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Afonso Fernandes Braga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Afonso Fernandes Braga really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wheaton Aston United's goalkeeper Paulo Pereira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Pegacho in the 21st minute of play forced Wheaton Aston United's goalkeeper Paulo Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 minutes Wheaton Aston United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hortêncio Ezequiel Niz who took care of the corner kick. After a defensive mix-up in Wheaton Aston United's zone, Rolando Bouça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Pereira came out of the goal and Rolando Bouça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Bouça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Paulo Pereira made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Canales in the 65th minute of play forced Prudhoe's goalkeeper Gregório Dikaté to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eduardo Canales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Gregório Dikaté tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Fernandes Braga took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gregório Dikaté. Gregório Dikaté dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Gregório Dikaté made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Pegacho in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Wheaton Aston United could leave the field as winners, despite Prudhoe having more of the ball for most of the match.
