Spectators: 10902 (Terracing: 8178, Seating: 2507, VIP seats: 217) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Iordache Strugure took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Nuno Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Petro Atlético's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Maurito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iordache Strugure got free with Zé Maurito in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Bastos in the 5th minute of play forced Petro Atlético's goalkeeper Daniel Gavin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Maurito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nuno Mendes in the 8th minute. After 9 minutes Peterlee's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Qi Fan Gang who took care of the corner kick. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Iordache Strugure took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Zé Maurito to make any attempt to save it. Peterlee's Zé Maurito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iordache Strugure in the 14th minute of play. Zé Maurito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iordache Strugure's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Petro Atlético's Iordache Strugure got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Peterlee getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Miguel Gonçalves hit a great ball. Iordache Strugure took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Maurito. Zé Maurito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Miguel Gonçalves charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Gonçalves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Peterlee getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Miguel Gonçalves hit a great ball. The Petro Atlético fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Petro Atlético's Iordache Strugure looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Zé Maurito came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Petro Atlético's Iordache Strugure. But to his dismay, Iordache Strugure quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Custódio Canales was the one to do the kick off. Zé Maurito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iordache Strugure in the 52nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iordache Strugure in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Maurito saved Peterlee from getting behind. Iordache Strugure might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Maurito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iordache Strugure ran back to his position shaking his head. Iordache Strugure took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Maurito. Zé Maurito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 63 minutes into the match, Petro Atlético's Iordache Strugure sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Maurito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Petro Atlético's attentive Szczepan Joks managed to snatch the ball when Miguel Gonçalves made a throw-in in the 67th minute of the game. In the 68th match minute, Peterlee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Custódio Canales to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iordache Strugure in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Maurito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Maurito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iordache Strugure, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petro Atlético's Magno Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Iordache Strugure left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Petro Atlético fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Iordache Strugure took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Maurito. Zé Maurito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Iordache Strugure received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Zé Maurito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Petro Atlético players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
