After having played for 6 minutes, Leroy Bensley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Porto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leroy Bensley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Quentin Pringle charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Quentin Pringle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Quentin Pringle hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leroy Bensley in the 12th minute of play forced Bow's goalkeeper Edward Fountain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Porto's Leroy Bensley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edward Fountain narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th minute Robbie Alderson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Curtis Collingwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 minutes, Joseph Button mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bow and the Porto players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joseph Button hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Kenny Way, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The supporters of Porto booed when Bow was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Button didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes, Porto's Teddy Whitmore shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edward Fountain came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Porto reached it. In the 34th match minute, Bow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Vaughn to maneuver through the defense. Porto's Kenny Way couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bow. Edward Fountain didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Porto's Leroy Bensley shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Bradley Carlick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edward Fountain having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Bradley Carlick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edward Fountain read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Bow's Robbie Alderson fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Curtis Collingwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sammy Hardcastle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brett Fieldwick during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edward Fountain stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leroy Bensley's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Leroy Bensley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edward Fountain having to make a save. Bradley Carlick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Edward Fountain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bradley Carlick might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edward Fountain. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bradley Carlick ran back to his position shaking his head. Phil Bullock kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 76 played minutes, Bow's Stuart Scholes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Curtis Collingwood came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bow reached it. After a rather tough play, Bow's Brett Fieldwick got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 95th play minute Bradley Carlick came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Edward Fountain. 0-2. The Porto players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
