Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Curtis Tomkins started the match with the kick off. When Culcheth's Curtis Tomkins in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lancing AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pierce Armstrong got free with Jake Bensley in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Pierce Armstrong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Ray Hales's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jake Bensley was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Jamal Winterburn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Fitz Gray had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jake Bensley. Culcheth's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fitz Gray was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Jake Bensley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ray Hales in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pierce Armstrong got free with Jake Bensley in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute Jamal Winterburn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ron Briant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Louie Basham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Culcheth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lancing AFC the free kick. Pierce Armstrong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 36th minute, Sonny Haskell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Curtis Tomkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ron Briant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ray Hales to strike the kick off in the second half. Louie Basham tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Jake Bensley. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-0 in the 53rd minute. Curtis Tomkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lancing AFC's Ray Hales got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pierce Armstrong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Pierce Armstrong had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jake Bensley. Culcheth's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pierce Armstrong was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Ray Hales blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jake Bensley having to make a save. Lancing AFC's Pierce Armstrong got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th match minute, Culcheth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louie Basham to maneuver through the defense. Culcheth's Jake Bensley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ray Hales in the 89th minute of play. Pierce Armstrong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jake Bensley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ray Hales, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Jake Bensley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ray Hales in the 98th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Lancing AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
