After some careless play in the Norbury defense, Fred Ely kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucas Fleetham. The Norbury fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucas Fleetham should have stopped the shot. Lucas Fleetham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Ely, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Justin Law fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Fleetham having to interfere. Justin Law who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Lucas Fleetham when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominic Davison in the 75th minute of play forced Stamford United's goalkeeper Stewart Endean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlton Laverick kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. When Justin Law came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Stamford United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justin Law couldn't finish the play. In the 90th match minute, Norbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlton Laverick to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Stamford United booed when Norbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Micheal Grigg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute, Justin Law reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lucas Fleetham. The goal made the score 1-3. Stamford United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
