Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) Jo Deighton started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7thth minute of the game Fred Ely who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Norbury's Lucas Fleetham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Justin Law sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Stamford United's Justin Law fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Justin Law received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Lucas Fleetham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Norbury defense, Fred Ely kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucas Fleetham. The Norbury fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucas Fleetham should have stopped the shot. Lucas Fleetham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Ely, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Justin Law fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Fleetham having to interfere. Justin Law struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Lucas Fleetham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stamford United. After a rather tough play, Stamford United's Ty Rouse got a free kick in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Fred Ely made the kick off in the second half. Fred Ely sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 played minutes Stamford United got a freekick which was hit by Harry Blake. In the 60th minute Fred Ely shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Fleetham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Ely sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Justin Law, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 68 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Lucas Fleetham was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Lucas Fleetham was a little too slow when Fred Ely got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 1-2. Justin Law who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Lucas Fleetham when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominic Davison in the 75th minute of play forced Stamford United's goalkeeper Stewart Endean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlton Laverick kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. When Justin Law came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Stamford United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justin Law couldn't finish the play. Stamford United's Justin Law got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 84 minutes, Fred Ely managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stamford United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Ely was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stamford United's Fred Ely got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ty Rouse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th match minute, Norbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlton Laverick to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Stamford United booed when Norbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Micheal Grigg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute, Justin Law reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lucas Fleetham. The goal made the score 1-3. Stamford United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
