Kendal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bromley United the free kick. After a rather tough play, Kendal's Sam Connell got a free kick in the 9th minute. Kendal's Antonio Roma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Kendal from getting a goal against them. Norman Chegwyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 尤博阳 having to interfere. A hard shot 16 in the game by Steve Avery from a close distance when the talented Antonio Roma managed to make a qualified save. Kendal's players were relieved. If Norman Chegwyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 尤博阳 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathon Morley, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Norman Chegwyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 尤博阳 having to interfere. 尤博阳 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norman Chegwyn's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Kendal's Norman Chegwyn got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kendal's Denis Davey quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Malcolm Hughes, made in the 37th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Norman Chegwyn in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 尤博阳 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Zane Bray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute of the match Jonathon Morley sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but 尤博阳 skillfully saved the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Norman Chegwyn to make the kick off. After having played for 56 minutes, Jonathon Morley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kendal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathon Morley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Norman Chegwyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norman Chegwyn got free with 尤博阳 in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Bromley United's zone, Zane Bray stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 尤博阳 came out of the goal and Zane Bray tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Steve Avery charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Steve Avery the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Kendal booed when Bromley United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steve Avery didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bromley United's zone, Norman Chegwyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 尤博阳 came out of the goal and Norman Chegwyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 82 minutes, Norman Chegwyn made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Bromley United's 尤博阳 tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonathon Morley kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving 尤博阳. That made the score 0-5 in the 90 minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Jonathon Morley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kendal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathon Morley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 95th minute of the match Sam Connell completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sam Connell a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. When the final whistle sounded Kendal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bromley United.
