The supporters of Cannock booed when Alpha Andorra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Crispin Sadler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alpha Andorra's Perry Buckle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ged Blewitt in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Zak Ottaway hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 33 minutes, Danny Coulthard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alpha Andorra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danny Coulthard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gary Riley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Cannock were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Danny Coulthard made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Tyrone Langdon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Perry Buckle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ged Blewitt in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Des Hawkins in the 57th minute of play forced Alpha Andorra's goalkeeper Perry Buckle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ashley Galloway had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ged Blewitt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perry Buckle having to interfere. Perry Buckle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ged Blewitt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Cannock's Ged Blewitt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. In the 84th minute, Ashley Galloway got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tyrone Langdon kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Ralf Revell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perry Buckle having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Alpha Andorra's goalkeeper Perry Buckle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gary Riley. The Cannock players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
