Bill Snowdon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colin Colt having to interfere. Edu de Sousa hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The supporters of El Expreso booed when Carpathia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasile Bărbătescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Pankracy Gardocki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carpathia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Zhu Quan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Colin Colt. Carpathia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zhu Quan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 21 minutes into the match, Carpathia's goal looked a bit too open when Zhu Quan came free, but Colin Colt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Bill Snowdon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Colin Colt. The goal made the score 2-1. After having played for 26 minutes, Bill Snowdon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Expreso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bill Snowdon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute, Bill Snowdon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Borys Purzycki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Viktor László during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carpathia! In the 38th minute, El Expreso got a penalty, and 袁奕崇 placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. After 40 played minutes El Expreso got a freekick which was hit by Chad Dickens. In the 41st minute Pankracy Gardocki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Baldwin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colin Colt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edu de Sousa in the 44th minute of play. If Edu de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edu de Sousa to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Zhu Quan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Colin Colt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Borys Purzycki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carpathia's supporters rose to their feet, but Borys Purzycki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Baldwin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Viktor László kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carpathia! Carpathia:s Colin Colt showed great skill when he stopped 袁奕崇:s penalty. Zhu Quan struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Colin Colt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Expreso. After a rather tough play, Carpathia's Vasile Bărbătescu got a free kick in the 76th minute. Kalidou Koulibaly charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kalidou Koulibaly the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to El Expreso getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Kalidou Koulibaly hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the game, Carpathia's Pankracy Gardocki nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dennis Baldwin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. In the 97th minute, 袁奕崇 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The El Expreso support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
