Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Simamane Radebe made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Rivermead's zone, Legako Modise stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jason Liau came out of the goal and Legako Modise tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tebogo Modipa kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Legako Modise in the 7th minute of play forced Rivermead's goalkeeper Jason Liau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inanda's Hoadley Ntsume proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Inanda from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Inanda booed when Rivermead was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tebogo Modipa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Simamane Radebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hoadley Ntsume took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Komani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Kingston Serage got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kingston Serage received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Hoadley Ntsume tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nelson Komani to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Nelson Komani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rivermead's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelson Komani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simamane Radebe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jason Liau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hoadley Ntsume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Komani in the 57th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Kingston Serage's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hoadley Ntsume was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. After 63 played minutes Rivermead got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Tau. Simamane Radebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Liau having to interfere. Jafta Manyethela hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After 70 minutes of play, Rivermead's Nelson Komani made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hoadley Ntsume was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tebogo Modipa hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Legako Modise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Liau having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Simamane Radebe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Legako Modise could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Jason Liau made a huge save. Kingston Serage fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hoadley Ntsume having to interfere. Hoadley Ntsume showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kingston Serage, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. If Kingston Serage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rivermead fans cheered their team off the field, for while Inanda had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
