Ivan Setlaba who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Norman Mafuna when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bomikaze Cassim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Norman Mafuna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bomikaze Cassim, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Ivan Setlaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Norman Mafuna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bomikaze Cassim in the 12th minute of play forced 11 KILLERS FC's goalkeeper Norman Mafuna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Darren Komani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albert Thabang kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 11 KILLERS FC's Daniel Phakathi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Nabaiep. Ivan Setlaba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Norman Mafuna made a huge save. After 26 minutes, Darren Komani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 11 KILLERS FC and the FC Nabaiep players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Nabaiep booed when 11 KILLERS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darren Komani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Setlabas short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Norman Mafuna to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bomikaze Cassim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norman Mafuna having to interfere. FC Nabaiep's Bomikaze Cassim got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Bomikaze Cassim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darren Komani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Justice Wanani made a kick off. Justice Wanani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bomikaze Cassim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norman Mafuna having to interfere. After having played for 66 minutes, Bomikaze Cassim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Nabaiep's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bomikaze Cassim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivan Setlaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Norman Mafuna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bomikaze Cassim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norman Mafuna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Nabaiep's goalkeeper Simamane Ntsume, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 74 minutes into the game, Johannes Smith recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Simamane Ntsume. Johannes Smith showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Johannes Smith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as 11 KILLERS FC's Justice Wanani slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Simamane Ntsume. That made the score 0-2 after 81 minutes of play. In the 89th minute Johannes Smith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simamane Ntsume saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justice Wanani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simamane Ntsume having to interfere. The 11 KILLERS FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing 11 KILLERS FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
