PICOLO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Solly Magakula was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When PICOLO's Yacoob Klein in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Altoona's goalie prevented a goal. Basil Konza was extremely unlucky when he, in the 11th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Basil Etafia came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Altoona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basil Etafia couldn't finish the play. In the 24th match minute, PICOLO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siyabonge Radebe to maneuver through the defense. Brandon Madima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Thompson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brandon Madima in the 32nd minute of play forced PICOLO's goalkeeper Jason Thompson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Basil Etafia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jason Thompson came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Altoona's Brandon Madima. But to his dismay, Brandon Madima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Brandon Madima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yacoob Klein stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to PICOLO getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Tomas Thabang hit a great ball. Basil Etafia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Thompson having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Altoona's Basil Etafia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jason Thompson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 66th minute, Cornell Inguana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basil Etafia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lindo Josephs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basil Konza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jason Thompson made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Basil Etafia sent off a good shot on target. Brandon Madima did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Jason Thompson 77 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Altoona's Brandon Madima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jason Thompson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jason Thompson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brandon Madima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Altoona walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
