In the 8thth minute of the game Darren Bartlett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ajax Amsterdam's Henry Modipa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Nicolas Koen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jomo Mathibe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jafta Nauseb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolas Koen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Henry Modipa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henry Modipa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darren Bartlett in the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of Walker Knights booed when Ajax Amsterdam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Kanku didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute of the match Elias Mothobi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henry Modipa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Godfrey Madima's late challenge caught a Walker Knights's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Godfrey Madima helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Walker Knights booed when Ajax Amsterdam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfrey Madima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walker Knights's Jomo Mathibe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melusi Mokhasi in the 34th minute of play. Jomo Mathibe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jafta Nauseb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Jafta Nauseb managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ajax Amsterdam's supporters rose to their feet, but Jafta Nauseb was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jomo Mathibe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jafta Nauseb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Darren Bartlett made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Walker Knights's goal looked a bit too open when Melusi Mokhasi came free, but Jomo Mathibe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nicolas Koen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Walker Knights's supporters rose to their feet, but Darren Bartlett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henry Modipa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Ajax Amsterdam's zone, Nicolas Koen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Modipa came out of the goal and Nicolas Koen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henry Modipa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darren Bartlett went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Bernard Sephadi kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Ajax Amsterdam's Allan Mhlongo tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Melusi Mokhasi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ajax Amsterdam's supporters rose to their feet, but Melusi Mokhasi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jomo Mathibe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had been going on for 92 minutes, Ajax Amsterdam's Allan Mhlongo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jomo Mathibe. 95 minutes into the game, Francis Etafia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Walker Knights's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ajax Amsterdam the free kick. A collision led to Walker Knights getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Francis Etafia hit a great ball. Jafta Nauseb took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jomo Mathibe. Jomo Mathibe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Walker Knights supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ajax Amsterdam's performance. The match ended with a win for Ajax Amsterdam.
