In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Kapilaan's goalkeeper Lindo Stoltz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, FC Kapilaan's Ismail Strauss sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Godfrey Mabalane narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Godfrey Mabalane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lindo Strauss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lindo Strauss in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Godfrey Mabalane prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Thokozani in the 14th minute of play forced FC YamYam's goalkeeper Godfrey Mabalane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Albert Thokozani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. FC Kapilaan's Lindo Stoltz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save FC Kapilaan from getting a goal against them. In the 23rd minute, Aubrey Webb reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lindo Stoltz. The goal made the score 1-1. 27 minutes into the match, FC Kapilaan's goal looked a bit too open when Aubrey Webb came free, but Lindo Stoltz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Joseph Nkadimeng could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Lindo Stoltz however easily saved by the left post. If Ismail Strauss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The FC Kapilaan fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when FC Kapilaan's Albert Thokozani looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, FC Kapilaan's Jason Mahlangu got a free kick in the 34th minute. Ismail Strauss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Godfrey Mabalane stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albert Thokozani's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. A hard shot 64 in the game by Lindo Strauss from a close distance when the talented Godfrey Mabalane managed to make a qualified save. FC YamYam's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismail Strauss in the 66th minute of play forced FC YamYam's goalkeeper Godfrey Mabalane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 minutes, William Steyn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC YamYam and the FC Kapilaan players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute, Albert Thokozani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ismail Strauss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfrey Mabalane having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Joseph Nkadimeng ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lindo Stoltz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. If Ismail Strauss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Godfrey Mabalane came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Kapilaan's Lindo Strauss. But to his dismay, Lindo Strauss quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. 81 minutes in the game, Jason Mahlangu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Godfrey Mabalane having to interfere. After 82 played minutes FC YamYam got a freekick which was hit by Nazeer Liau. Godfrey Mabalane was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Lindo Strauss capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lindo Strauss really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. When Albert Thokozani came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the FC Kapilaan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albert Thokozani couldn't finish the play. Godfrey Mabalane made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ismail Strauss in the 88th minute. Albert Thokozani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the final whistle sounded FC Kapilaan left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC YamYam.
