Godfrey Mabalane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maluleke Mathibe struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Godfrey Mabalane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nino FC. FC YamYam's attack was well implemented in the 41st minute, but when Aubrey Webb was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After having played for 42 minutes, Joseph Nkadimeng managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Godfrey Mabalane came out of the goal and Francis Setlaba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, FC YamYam's goalkeeper Godfrey Mabalane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maluleke Mathibe.

Aubrey Webb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC YamYam booed when Nino FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siphokazi Mbule didn't get a good kick on the ball. Godfrey Mabalane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francis Setlaba in the 84th minute of play. If Maluleke Mathibe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, FC YamYam's goal looked a bit too open when Francis Setlaba came free, but Godfrey Mabalane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delron Klaasens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joseph Nkadimeng in the 90th minute. Maluleke Mathibe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfrey Mabalane having to interfere.
