Aubrey Webb ran back to his position shaking his head. Godfrey Mabalane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johann Thompson in the 24th minute of play. Steve Melele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Steve Melele made the kick off in the second half. Albert Mufadi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Mhlongo in the 52nd minute of the match. Aubrey Webb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC YamYam were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after DISTRICT 9's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rob Mahlangu took the corner. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dean Patel during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Johann Thompson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Godfrey Mabalane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Steve Melele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
