When Wycliffe Serage came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Blaton FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wycliffe Serage couldn't finish the play. In the 5th minute, Blaton FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joseph Nkadimeng fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Joseph Nkadimeng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, FC YamYam's Aubrey Webb sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mpenza Kubheka narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mabusela Mbule's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Godfrey Mabalane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. FC YamYam's Godfrey Mabalane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mabusela Mbule in the 22nd minute of play. FC YamYam's Joseph Nkadimeng got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Johannes Mhlongo kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. A collision led to Blaton FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Mabusela Mbule hit a great ball. If Joseph Nkadimeng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joseph Nkadimeng got free with Mpenza Kubheka in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of FC YamYam booed when Blaton FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mpenza Kekana didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC YamYam's Godfrey Mabalane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wycliffe Serage in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wycliffe Serage stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Godfrey Mabalane was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mabusela Mbule showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 52 minute of play. If Aubrey Webb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the game, Aubrey Webb was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC YamYam's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blaton FC the free kick. In the 58th minute, Aubrey Webb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mpenza Kekana during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC YamYam booed when Blaton FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mpenza Kekana didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Blaton FC's zone, Aubrey Webb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mpenza Kubheka came out of the goal and Aubrey Webb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aubrey Webb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mpenza Kubheka having to interfere. Joseph Nkadimeng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mpenza Kubheka having to interfere. If Wycliffe Serage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Johannes Mhlongo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. Mabusela Mbule sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Joseph Nkadimeng's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mpenza Kubheka was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Nazeer Liau blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mpenza Kubheka having to make a save. After having played for 87 minutes, Joseph Nkadimeng managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC YamYam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joseph Nkadimeng was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After recieving a nice pass, Blaton FC's Andre Steyn tried to score from far away in the 91st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, FC YamYam's goal looked a bit too open when Wycliffe Serage came free, but Godfrey Mabalane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godfrey Mabalane was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wycliffe Serage showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 97 minute of play.
