But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maluleke Mathibe couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the game, one of FC KuLombombo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, Nino FC's Freddie Mkhize got a free kick in the 41st minute. Delron Klaasens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Musa Modipa in the 43rd minute of the match. The supporters of Nino FC booed when FC KuLombombo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tebogo Komani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Musa Modipa hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

With a little luck, FC KuLombombo's Sipho Thompson got control of the ball when Maluleke Mathibe tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC KuLombombo succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Nino FC had controlled the match.
