Spectators: 7600 (Terracing: 6000,
Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Darren Bartlett made the kick off and thus started the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johann Thompson got free with Jomo Mathibe in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 12 minutes into the match, Darren Bartlett had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albert Mufadi. DISTRICT 9's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Darren Bartlett was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Johann Thompson came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the DISTRICT 9 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johann Thompson couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute, Francis Etafia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hlamane Modise's late challenge caught a DISTRICT 9's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hlamane Modise helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, Walker Knights was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hlamane Modise to maneuver through the defense. Steve Melele was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 27th minute. DISTRICT 9's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Albert Mufadi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Bartlett in the 32nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Nicolas Koen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albert Mufadi was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. 42 minutes into the match, DISTRICT 9's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Koen came free, but Albert Mufadi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. DISTRICT 9's Albert Mufadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Koen in the 45th minute of play. Jomo Mathibe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Melele, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. DISTRICT 9's Albert Mufadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darren Bartlett in the 50th minute of play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Steve Melele made a kick off. Jomo Mathibe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve Melele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walker Knights:s Jomo Mathibe showed great skill when he stopped Albert Josephs:s penalty. Albert Josephs took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jomo Mathibe. Jomo Mathibe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 87 minutes into the match, Walker Knights's goal looked a bit too open when Johann Thompson came free, but Jomo Mathibe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sizwe Mafuna during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sizwe Mafuna hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Jomo Mathibe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johann Thompson, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 98 minutes, Bernard Sephadi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Walker Knights and the DISTRICT 9 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bernard Sephadi hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
