Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Altoona's Brandon Madima started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sipho Thompson made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Jeff Smith sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 6 minutes, Basil Etafia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altoona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basil Etafia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sipho Thompson was a little too slow when Brandon Madima got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. Brandon Madima received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sipho Thompson came out and tried to block the shot, but Brandon Madima slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brandon Madima in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sipho Thompson saved FC KuLombombo from getting behind. In the 19th match minute, Altoona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Thebe to maneuver through the defense. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leon Thebe got his second yellow card in the match during the 44th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 45th match minute, Altoona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Thebe to maneuver through the defense. 48 minutes into the match, FC KuLombombo's goalkeeper Sipho Thompson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basil Etafia. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Musa Modipa to strike the kick off in the second half. Lindo Josephs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Musa Modipa in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basil Etafia in the 58th minute of play forced FC KuLombombo's goalkeeper Sipho Thompson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Basil Etafia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brandon Madima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Jeff Smith's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sipho Thompson was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. FC KuLombombo's Hanile Smith pulled a muscle in his leg after 73 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 73 minutes, Michael Stoltz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Altoona and the FC KuLombombo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 74 played minutes Altoona got a freekick which was hit by Michael Stoltz.
