The supporters of DISTRICT 9 booed when FC KuLombombo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hanile Smith didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the game, one of FC KuLombombo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. DISTRICT 9's Johann Thompson got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raymond Kubheka received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Albert Mufadi came out and tried to block the shot, but Raymond Kubheka slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 29th minute. After 33 minutes of play, FC KuLombombo's Raymond Kubheka made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albert Mufadi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Raymond Kubheka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Patrice Maduna charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrice Maduna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to DISTRICT 9 getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Patrice Maduna hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Steve Melele to make the kick off. If Johann Thompson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Steve Melele managed to get in a good position for a shot. DISTRICT 9's supporters rose to their feet, but Steve Melele was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sipho Thompson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC KuLombombo's Sipho Thompson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save FC KuLombombo from getting a goal against them. Musa Modipa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Albert Mufadi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Musa Modipa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute Steve Melele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sipho Thompson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricky Kubheka kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Musa Modipa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Mufadi having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Musa Modipa in the 84th minute of play forced DISTRICT 9's goalkeeper Albert Mufadi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raymond Kubheka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Albert Mufadi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, DISTRICT 9's goal looked a bit too open when Musa Modipa came free, but Albert Mufadi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
