Basil Etafia made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 13thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Mpenza Kubheka would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Basil Etafia in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mpenza Kubheka, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Basil Etafia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute, Brandon Madima fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brandon Madima made a kick off. Brandon Madima might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mpenza Kubheka. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brandon Madima ran back to his position shaking his head. Basil Etafia took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mpenza Kubheka. Mpenza Kubheka dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Basil Etafia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mpenza Kubheka having to interfere. Mpenza Kubheka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brandon Madima's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Blaton FC's Wycliffe Serage got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leon Thebe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mpenza Kubheka having to make a save. After 80 minutes, Jeff Smith mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Altoona and the Blaton FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, Andre Steyn sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Altoona's Lindo Josephs didn't even have to move. Mpenza Kubheka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Thebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Altoona's Jeff Smith pulled a muscle in his back after 88 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Mpenza Kekana charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mpenza Kekana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mpenza Kekana kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Altoona's Lesego Makweni got a free kick in the 90th minute. Andre Steyn's shot from long distance in the 96th minute was not bad at all, but Altoona's Lindo Josephs knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 98th minute, Basil Etafia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Altoona's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
