Spectators: 8451 (Terracing: 6376, Seating: 1955, VIP seats: 120) BLACK STARS FC's Mpenza Miti started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mpho Klein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rabelani Collins having to interfere. When BLACK STARS FC's Mpenza Miti in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tromba de Elite's goalie prevented a goal. After 6 minutes, Mpenza Miti made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Tromba de Elite's John Machete tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Noxolo Thokozani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Machete having to interfere. Akil Thompson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without John Machete having to make a save. John Machete came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by BLACK STARS FC's Akil Thompson. But to his dismay, Akil Thompson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Mpenza Miti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mpenza Miti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. John Machete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Akil Thompson fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BLACK STARS FC's protests and gave Akil Thompson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, BLACK STARS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akil Thompson to maneuver through the defense. Rabelani Collins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enock Machete in the 28th minute of the match. Noxolo Thwala hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Mpho Klein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rabelani Collins having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Tromba de Elite's goal looked a bit too open when Mpenza Miti came free, but John Machete reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Akil Thompson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Tromba de Elite getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Etienne Thompson hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Mpho Klein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Rabelani Collins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Mpho Klein fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rabelani Collins, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, Tromba de Elite's Enock Machete got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 74th match minute, Tromba de Elite was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Etienne Thompson to maneuver through the defense. Rabelani Collins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enock Machete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enock Machete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Rabelani Collins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rabelani Collins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enock Machete, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Noxolo Thokozani charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Noxolo Thokozani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, BLACK STARS FC's Noxolo Thokozani got a free kick in the 86th minute. Tromba de Elite's Enock Machete got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 92 played minutes BLACK STARS FC got a freekick which was hit by Noxolo Thokozani. Timothy Sephadi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Mpho Klein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BLACK STARS FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Tromba de Elite for a fine match.
