Papi Nomvete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dotz's Michael Makweni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradley Radebe in the 4th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, FC Hopwood's Bradley Radebe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Michael Makweni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Allan Sephiri, 12 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. FC Hopwood's Papi Nomvete proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save FC Hopwood from getting a goal against them. Michael Collins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Papi Nomvete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bongi Roberts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michael Makweni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Michael Makweni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bradley Radebe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FC Hopwood's Papi Nomvete got control of the ball when Kenny Thembe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Michael Makweni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bongi Roberts in the 38th minute of play. Bradley Radebe struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Michael Makweni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Hopwood. 44 minutes into the game, Bongi Roberts cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Michael Makweni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michael Collins to strike the kick off in the second half. Papi Nomvete took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Collins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bongi Roberts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michael Serage's late challenge caught a FC Hopwood's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michael Serage helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th minute, Michael Serage hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bradley Radebe succeeded in the game's 68th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. The supporters of Dotz booed when FC Hopwood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jikolo Mumede didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradley Radebe in the 73rd minute of play forced Dotz's goalkeeper Michael Makweni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bongi Roberts came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the FC Hopwood fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bongi Roberts couldn't finish the play. Bradley Radebe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Michael Makweni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bongi Roberts took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michael Makweni. Michael Makweni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Papi Nomvete came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Dotz's Kenny Thembe. But to his dismay, Kenny Thembe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Bongi Roberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Makweni having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Dotz's goal looked a bit too open when Bradley Radebe came free, but Michael Makweni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Papi Nomvete came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Dotz's Kenny Thembe. But to his dismay, Kenny Thembe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. When the final whistle sounded FC Hopwood left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Dotz.
