The Zhovti Vody fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodion Pidvirnyi should have stopped the shot. Anatoliy Syvukha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valentyn Ustymchuk's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Anatoliy Syvukha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nazar Selyuk in the 28th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Platon Nesteruk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Starij-Sambir FC Metalist's supporters rose to their feet, but Platon Nesteruk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The attack was good, but when Nazar Selyuk in the 68th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Zhovti Vody's much stronger midfield.
