Kostyantyn Katsapenko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Masnyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, FC Dynamo Kiev's goal looked a bit too open when Vitaliy Bezsmertnyi came free, but Kostyantyn Katsapenko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Igor Masnyi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kostyantyn Katsapenko. FC Dynamo Kiev's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Masnyi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Grygoriy Selyuk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Grygoriy Dvoryanenko made a huge save. After some careless play in the FC Dynamo Kiev defense, Vitaliy Bezsmertnyi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kostyantyn Katsapenko. The FC Dynamo Kiev fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kostyantyn Katsapenko should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Masnyi in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kostyantyn Katsapenko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kostyantyn Katsapenko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taras Vaseruk, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. If Andriy Leschuk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Masnyi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the match, FC Dynamo Kiev's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Masnyi came free, but Kostyantyn Katsapenko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kostyantyn Katsapenko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitaliy Bezsmertnyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bolhrad FC Dynamo's goalkeeper Grygoriy Dvoryanenko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The FC Dynamo Kiev players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bolhrad FC Dynamo were winning 1-2.

Grygoriy Dvoryanenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grygoriy Selyuk in the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bolhrad FC Dynamo's Pavlo Lagoida got a free kick in the 54th minute. Andriy Leschuk struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. After 72 minutes, Oleg Gryschenko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Dynamo Kiev and the Bolhrad FC Dynamo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kostyantyn Katsapenko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Masnyi in the 97th minute of play. Bolhrad FC Dynamo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
