A sloppy throw-in by Ishaq Bayauw in the 2nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Nychyporivka Ψ's Sten Vedholm. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thad Castle in the 6th minute of play forced GREMIO's goalkeeper Kåre Tolsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kåre Tolsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duncan Hatfield in the 8th minute of the match. After 12th play minutes Thad Castle shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Kåre Tolsson and just under the crossbar into goal. 16 minutes into the match, GREMIO's goal looked a bit too open when Thad Castle came free, but Kåre Tolsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute of the match Nychyporivka Ψ got a corner. GREMIO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Denys Vepryk ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 20thth minute of the game Thad Castle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GREMIO's Kåre Tolsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Nychyporivka Ψ getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Denys Vepryk hit a great ball. Nychyporivka Ψ's Dan Junilă proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Nychyporivka Ψ from getting a goal against them. GREMIO's Kåre Tolsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duncan Hatfield in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to GREMIO getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ishaq Bayauw hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duncan Hatfield in the 34th minute of play forced GREMIO's goalkeeper Kåre Tolsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Thad Castle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kåre Tolsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thad Castle in the 40th minute of play forced GREMIO's goalkeeper Kåre Tolsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Thad Castle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nychyporivka Ψ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thad Castle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thad Castle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kåre Tolsson having to make a save. Kåre Tolsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thad Castle, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After a rather tough play, Nychyporivka Ψ's 鲁枫烽 got a free kick in the 45th minute. Dan Junilă made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teo Marin in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Czeslaw Kaszubik to make the kick off. 50 minutes into the match, Nychyporivka Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Teo Marin came free, but Dan Junilă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teo Marin in the 51st minute of play forced Nychyporivka Ψ's goalkeeper Dan Junilă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 52 minutes into the match, Nychyporivka Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Dmytro Maschenko came free, but Dan Junilă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Junilă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Thad Castle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kåre Tolsson having to interfere. Kåre Tolsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thad Castle in the 61st minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Nychyporivka Ψ's Thad Castle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kåre Tolsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Thad Castle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kåre Tolsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Dan Junilă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teo Marin, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The supporters of Nychyporivka Ψ booed when GREMIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mykhaylo Slavik didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, GREMIO's Kåre Tolsson got control of the ball when Denys Vepryk tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind GREMIO's goalkeeper Kåre Tolsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dan Junilă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dmytro Maschenko in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nychyporivka Ψ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mykhaylo Slavik was slow to take the kick. During this time GREMIO's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of GREMIO booed when Nychyporivka Ψ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duncan Hatfield didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, GREMIO's goal looked a bit too open when Thad Castle came free, but Kåre Tolsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thad Castle in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kåre Tolsson saved GREMIO from getting behind. Thad Castle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Igor Chornyj charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Igor Chornyj the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st minute, Igor Chornyj hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute Duncan Hatfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kåre Tolsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Thad Castle sped through GREMIO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kåre Tolsson.
