Gigel Iosif took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marius Bodea. Marius Bodea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gigel Iosif was the one to do the kick off. Vlad Bercea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Ghiurutan in the 54th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Gerula defense, Felix Ghiurutan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vlad Bercea. The FC Gerula fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vlad Bercea should have stopped the shot. Felix Hostens hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC Gerula booed when Vladoi CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciprian Cucu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute, Sever Costache reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marius Bodea. The goal made the score 1-3. FC Gerula's Vlad Bercea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihăiţă Trif in the 77th minute of play. In the 83rd minute of the game Costel Achifoaiei made a throw-in which Laurențiu Caramitru played forward. Marius Bodea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gigel Iosif in the 85th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Gigel Iosif kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marius Bodea. That made the score 2-4 in the 85 minute of play. Marius Bodea made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Sever Costache sent off a good shot on target. FC Gerula's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
