An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosmin Stănculescu in the 25th minute of play forced catalin busuioc's goalkeeper Venancio Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Cosmin Stănculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cosmin Stănculescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 48 played minutes Maidan AC got a freekick which was hit by Mihăiţă Vasilică. When George Beșliu came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the catalin busuioc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Beșliu couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosmin Stănculescu got free with Venancio Selatse in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. George Beșliu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Alin Enescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ion Bouleanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Selatse having to interfere. catalin busuioc's Venancio Selatse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ion Bouleanu in the 65th minute of play. If Ernest Babeș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Maidan AC's goalkeeper Alin Enescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Radu Alexandrescu came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the catalin busuioc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radu Alexandrescu couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Maidan AC's Moise Dudea got a free kick in the 74th minute. Alin Enescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Beșliu, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Venancio Selatse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ion Bouleanu's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Cosmin Stănculescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Venancio Selatse made a huge save. 90 minutes into the game, Ion Bouleanu lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Venancio Selatse. Moise Dudea hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Ernest Babeș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th match minute, Maidan AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Ciorobîtcă to maneuver through the defense. Denis Neghină took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 98th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alin Enescu. Maidan AC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Maidan AC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
